All other items are protected by a 12-month manufacturer's warranty.

To receive the full benefits of the warranty, the following terms and conditions must be followed, or your claim will be rejected:

1. A qualified engineer must install and commission the boiler within 12 months of the date of purchase from the Elterm London warehouse or one of our distributors in the UK. We don't cover warranty claims for boilers from private imports or bought from non-Elterm London or one of our distributors in the UK.

2. Every task must adhere to the installation manual and warranty these terms and conditions.

3. The installer or owner needs to register the warranty on a website at the time of installation and have it available for inspection during an engineer's visit.

4. The warranty for your boiler is a critical aspect of ensuring its reliability and performance over time. It is essential to understand the terms and conditions that govern this warranty to maximise the benefits it offers.

The warranty will commence from the date of installation. This means that the coverage period begins only when the boiler has been properly installed in your home or business. To validate this warranty, it is imperative to retain proof of purchase, which can be in the form of an invoice or a warranty certificate. Without this documentation, the warranty will default to commence from the date of manufacture, as indicated on the boiler data plate.

In the event of a malfunction or failure of the boiler during the warranty period, having the appropriate documentation will facilitate the claims process. This documentation serves as proof that the boiler was purchased and installed correctly, thus enabling the customer to receive necessary repairs or replacements without incurring additional costs.

Furthermore, it is advisable to conduct regular maintenance on your boiler to ensure its optimal performance. Regular servicing can help identify potential issues before they escalate, thereby extending the life of the appliance and ensuring that it operates efficiently. Many manufacturers recommend annual servicing as part of the warranty conditions, which can also help in maintaining the validity of the warranty.

In summary, understanding the terms of your boiler warranty is essential for ensuring that you are adequately covered in the event of any issues. Retaining proof of purchase and adhering to maintenance recommendations will help you maximise the benefits of your warranty, providing peace of mind regarding your heating system's reliability and efficiency.

5. The warranty is a key factor in maintaining the durability and dependability of your heating system. Understanding the registration process and the consequences of prompt registration is vital.

To maintain the full benefits of your boiler warranty, you must register the warranty within 30 days of the installation of the appliance. This registration serves as a formal acknowledgement of the warranty, allowing you to access the full warranty period as stipulated by us.

Failure to register the warranty within the specified 30-day timeframe will result in a significant reduction of the warranty period. Specifically, the warranty will revert to a standard duration of only 12 months from the date of installation. This reduction can have considerable implications for the homeowner, as it limits the time frame in which repairs or replacements can be claimed under the warranty.

It is advisable to keep all relevant documentation, including proof of purchase and installation, readily available during the registration process. This documentation will facilitate a smoother registration experience and ensure that all necessary information is accurately submitted.

In summary, to maximise the benefits of your boiler warranty, ensure that you complete the registration within the 30-day window following installation. This proactive step will help safeguard your investment and provide peace of mind regarding the performance and reliability of your heating system.

6. Annual servicing costs are not covered by the warranty.

7. The warranty only covers failures in boiler components, not in other external central heating system components (e.g. room thermostats, time controls, motorised valves, etc.).

8. The warranty covers material and labour costs to repair or replace boiler components due to manufacturing defects from the installation date, requiring an authorised engineer for repairs.

9. Invoices for third-party attendance and repair of this appliance will not be accepted for payment unless pre-authorised in writing by us.

10. The warranty on any repair or replacement parts (including boiler replacement, should it be necessary) does not extend the guarantee period concerning the appliance beyond the original term defined under clause 5.

11. If any failure is caused by contaminated water in the boiler (e.g. blockages or influences of flux residues, iron oxides, limescale, sludge, etc.), the engineer’s visit becomes chargeable at the prevailing rates.

12. Moving the boiler to another property without our written consent will invalidate the guarantee.

13. The warranty excludes self-maintenance tasks like re-pressurising the system, bleeding air, or thawing frozen pipes or a stuck pump rotor. Consult your engineer for assistance.

14. The warranty excludes coverage for fair wear and tear, deliberate harm, unusual storage or operating conditions, accidental damage or negligence by you or any third party, or failure to follow the operating instructions.

15. The warranty does not cover installation in mobile leisure accommodation vehicles, such as boats, caravans, etc.

16. Consequential losses related to costs or expenses resulting from an Elterm boiler's breakdown are not covered by the warranty.

17. All installation-related, non-boiler or external system fault calls will be charged to you and could invalidate your guarantee.

18. Health and safety are paramount to us, and if our engineers cannot gain safe access to the boiler or an engineer cannot gain access to the property, then an abortive charge will apply.

19. For calls requested to boilers within the Warranty period, a refundable deposit may be required before the commencement of any work or any visit. This deposit will be refunded if the boiler guarantee covers the diagnosed fault.

20. If these terms and conditions have not been complied with in full, we reserve the right to declare your warranty null and void. Our decision regarding guarantee claims is final.

21. If this Warranty is declared null and void, upon your request, we may offer an extended guarantee product for repairs and annual services for an additional cost.

22. This warranty is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights in relation to any product that is faulty or not as described.

23. Using non-genuine Elterm spare parts in any repair will invalidate the warranty.

24. When registering the warranty, please note that we will share your personal data with our business partners to assist with its administration.

25. The warranty applies to installation in domestic dwellings in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

26. The terms of this warranty are subject to the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from this warranty shall be decided under those laws and before a court or tribunal in England.
